Lliber Tossal Gran Circuit

A route with some interesting geological features! Ascending the ridge from the east over the top of Penyes Blanques and continuing to the fine summit of Tossal Gran (591m). Descending back to the col and down (with optional cave visit) to reach Penyes Negres via the “Hoyo”. Then east along the ridge of Solana del Gorgos to El Penyot, to complete the circuit. The ridge crest is soon reached and reveals wide ranging views, which remain with you virtually all the way around. Some of the terrain is rough in places and some sections of path are vague.

Directions to start	At km 5.25 on the Gata to Lliber CV-748, turn north onto the Cami Font D’Aixa, beside an info board for Escalade (Rock climbing). Follow the narrow Cami for 2.4km, to reach Font D’Aixa where there is ample parking. Lat: 38.766916, Long: 0.019138 for Font D’Aixa car park. Not all Sat Nav’s will find this. Note: This road is not suitable for large Motorhomes.
